The Rialto Theater was demolished so that the First Metals Bank and Trust Co. could “invest in Buttes Future” to the tune of $1.5 million by building a “modern” new branch right across the street from its original location. The Rialto was demolished in 1965, the new bank branch opened in 1968, and now it’s home to US Bank.
